Ok time to vent, my nephew brought home a permission slip to go to Devin s funeral . He doesnt know Devin. I feel his funeral is being made into a circus. My nephew heard kids saying how its a day out of school and heard there was going to be free cake. Wth? Funeral is to support the family , remember ing and saying goodbye to the one who has passed not to party and have fun with friends while the real friends and family are mourning their loss. I feel this permission slip was in poor taste of port clinton schools. If any student was going the parents could follow protocol on being absent instead of the school making it Into a field trip.
