Ok, to elaborate on a post I made about tolerating friends! When listening to Neale Donald Walsh, it made so much sense. He was asked what makes a good friend; was it compassion, love, patience, a listening ear, a lending hand to name but some of the obvious things we think about friendship. He said, I will have compassion for you, but sometimes, maybe I wont. I will love you, bit sometimes you will annoy me, I will have patience with you, but sometimes, I wont. I will always be there to listen to you, but sometimes I wont have the time to. You will ask me to help, and I will be there....but sometimes, I wont. So for true friendship to happen, we have to have tolerance that it wont always be the way we expect it to be but to have tolerance, it is okay. Sometimes we will give and receive all that that friendship represents, but sometimes we wont. But that is,okay if we have tolerance... Definition of tolerance ..The ability or willingness to tolerate the existence of opinions or behaviour that one dislikes or disagrees with And...An allowable amount of variation of a specified quantity, i.e. You always say yes when your friend needs a hand but sometimes we will not have the time and other times, you will give more than is required...a minus and plus to the normal Tolerance is to say even when the friendship does not always give what you want or what you expect or you cannot give what you would like...you have a tolerance to that and know you are loved and love regardless. I hope this makes more sense than my simple one line statement previously made! Trudie Clack!
