Ok, we did multiple X-rays on Champs hocks to figure out why his wounds are not healing. When we first got him the wounds seemed superficial, but strangely enough they have ended up our biggest issue (that we know of). :-( There appears to be a small bone fragment in his left hock that could be causing the body to reject the healing process, but to be sure Dr. You will be talking to the surgeon to have a better idea of what we are looking at. We also may need to have an internist who specializes in foals come out and ultrasound his belly to figure out why he does not drop to urinate - to be sure there is not a tear in his bladder. Ugh. Not what we wanted to hear. Ive never shad to set up a gofundme account before, but Im afraid if this little foster keeps going the way it is going I may have to try it. Were trying so hard to do what is best for this little man. :-(
