Ok wow! What a long and tiring day! I know you have all been waiting for me to report back. I just got back from the vets and my phone died. Cleo was at King Road Animal Hospital and it was looking very bad. I took her to the Speciality Clinic in Newmarket. In the time it took me to drive to the clinic the girls of From My Heart Rescue already started a group chat and set up a gofundme account as there will be vet bills regardless of the decision I made. Susan Thompson also called ahead to make sure I was received well! Thank you Susan, Stacey, Di, Shelly, Suzanne,Nancy and my girl Kelly! The vets at the 404 404 Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital were amazing as well. Thank goodness Dr. Joanne was there as I know her well and she offered a payment plan if i needed one as well was very generous with me! The specialist saw Cleo and was optimistic. With all the donations coming in and the vets assessment it is 50/50 if she will make it. but I decided she came all this way ...lets not stop before trying! Cleo will begetting the transfusion and have 3 days of treatment. She may start improving right away, or not at all, like I said before its 50/50. So fingers crossed and I will make more decisions after the 3 day mark. I am floored and humbled by your responses, encouragements and guidance. I know dog rescue is not for everyone but if it is important to you please consider donating to Paws Above for Cleo.
