Okay - so heres my question for the day: What constitutes a racist Halloween costume? I keep reading articles about how nearly any representation of a culture that is not your own is racist. Since Im of Scottish decent, does this mean Im supposed to take issue with anyone in a kilt? Is this for real - or has everybody become so PC that we dont even know the difference between what is racist and what is not? I dont wanna piss anyone off - but Im starting to think thats not possible. I look at Halloween as a time for masquerade - a time to be something you arent. I prefer costumes that are interesting, beautiful and artistic. But - maybe I just dont get it. If I dress up as Marie Antoinette or Joan of Arc - are the French coming to get me? What about Napoleon? If I dress as a French male dictator, how many groups have I offended?
