Okay 2008 450er. Will not start after new crank bearings and seals, cp 13.5 piston and Web 208 cam installed with complete teardown and rebuild. I have good spark,it is getting fuel and I have checked, rechecked and triple checked timing and double checked to be sure that the piston is at TDC when at the t on the flywheel when checking timing. It ran perfect before tearing it down. The most I can get out of it is a very mild backfire out of the exhaust. I had modified race wiring harness that it ran on last year just fine. Thought maybe that was faulty so I got a used stock harness and put that on. Also tried switching out the stator, cdi box and coil. No change. Every thing Ive tried I always end up coming back to thinking timing is off. Im Im the process of putting stock cam back in it but waiting to get my shim kit tomorrow. Can anyone help me out here. I feel like Ive tried everything. Has anyone ever gotten a defective cam from web that cause it not to start? Thanks for any help guys.
