Okay, Gingy soap box time. When I taught 7 Habits, one video was a restaurant owner who made some awesome soup. People came from all over to get this soup. He sold it by the gallons. He wanted to get a larger profit margin so he started watering down the soup. Soon, he had no customers. A customer told me yesterday, she does shop the K store because of prices, but our customer service is above and beyond. So she drives out of her way to come to our store. We are not Wal-mart prices, it is not on what we hang our hat. Our customer service is beyond reproach. I swell with pride when customers point out Publix, and often our store in particular for the premier customer service they receive. Lets never water down our customer service thinking we will get more bang for the buck. EVERY customer is your most important customer. Also, keep in mind, we have internal ( our team mates) as well as external customers.
