Okay I am just posting things that interest me today. I know they might not be so exciting to everyone else. However, looking into this place in the Colorado mountains called, California Gulch, I found that it is highly affected by the mining over 100 years ago. Until recently, nothing would grow and the water was/is toxic. The EPA has focussed highly on restoring the area. There is land for sale up there, which I was dreaming about until I read about the pollution from the mines. Even though it is green now, I know all the lead and other mineral wastes lurking are not healthy. That pollution from those old mines gets me thinking about the mining debates going on in Minnesota. One Hundred years seems like a long time, but it really is not. What will be the outcome of our greed?
