Okay... I asked a question about wheel building the other day... Thank you for all of your advice. My son currently rides a 2013 Redline Proline Junior (top tube 18.5 in.), yet hes out grown the bike. Im building up a new DK Expert XL frame (top tube 20.5 in.), with Promax and BOX parts. Hes grown taller, and a bit heavier... but I read that 20x1-1/8 wheels can hold up to 120 pounds (hes not gonna gain 20-25 pounds in one season). I may take the wheels off the Redline for now (which are in good shape), and use that money for BOX carbon fiber forks. Some people recommended installing 20x1-3/8 tires on those wheels. Is there any reason youd recommend this? Will it make the bike more stable/rideable? Appreciate your feedback and advice. Regards!
