Okay I copied this news blurb from AOL : ASHBURN, Va.—— An NFL game official was suspended Friday for one game without pay for making a profane and derogatory statement to a Washington Redskins player, an incident that has led to a call for NFL players to stop using the N-word on the field and in the locker room. The league announced Friday that umpire Roy Ellison will not work an NFL game this weekend as punishment for words directed at left tackle Trent Williams late in the second quarter of the Redskins loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday OKAY: THIS IS MY POINT - NFL has CALLED for players to STOP the use of the N-WORD as a result of a Derogatory Statement made to a Washington REDSKIN player.... wait a minute .... what? what? N-WORD vs. REDSKINS... youre not calling for Washington to stop using REDSKINS???? Are they saying one group of peoples racist concerns are less valued????? As for me: I love my Washington team and players but I will no longer wear or present any Item with the name REDSKINS on it. I will still cheer for my Washington team and players (its not the players fault) but I will just refer to them as Washington. I will be scratching the name off of some jerseys I have. I have a flag in my office I have to take down. But that is just me..... you do your thing.
