Okay......I feel like I need to say something here. Though I appreciate everyones kind words towards me about my last post and the numbers of supplies you go through when dealing with parvo and to emphasize how incredibly icky parvo is for the dogs (without an actual visual reference, because thats just gross)....I feel extremely guilty for those kind words as well.....and I thought my post had been misread until I realized I left out part of the last sentence. See, the point in my post (which was supposed to be the last sentence) was to say thank you to everyone for the happy thoughts with the sicklies and to thank everyone for every single supply donation you have ever made. Whether it was a bag of used towels, a bottle of clorox, old blankets, wee pads, stuffed animals....whatever. My point was to show you how those donated items are used!!!!! My point was to say that sometimes when we are stockpiled on towels and I dont know where Im going to stash a new donation of them....I remember why I never turn them down, because you never know when parvo will enter your world and youll wish you had a 200 more because some you just cant salvage. My point was not to showcase the work involved. Thats not what its about and the work is just part of the job. The point was to celebrate YOU for supporting our mission and I failed in that miserably simply because I was rushing!!!!!! Okay....now lets go about the rest of this Sunday guilt free!!!! And just for the record, we have continued to have a clean day and Abel just had a first....Abel just chewed on a sterile marrow bone for the first time ever....which means his tremors right now are so subtle that he can actually grasp something in his mouth, keep there and chew on it. Woo Hoo!!!!!! Cant tell you the joy he just had in that moment!!!!
