Okay, I get it Rogers Sportsnet, you have the exclusive broadcasting rights of the NHL. You do a great job bringing me Canadian teams games all week long, and your in game commentary and colourmen are awesome. But between periods, and recap needs to be seriously re-evaluated. TSN had a panel of experienced and respected hockey people, not to mention professionals. You guys shove Doug Maclean and Mike Milbury in my face several times a week and honestly, if I never have to listen to their opinions(they have nothing of substance for me) again, it will be too soon. Bob Mackenzie is a trusted hockey source or decades, full of breaking info and in depth analysis. James Duthie is colourful and capable, at steering and managing his cast, creatively and exciteably. Instead we get a couple of worn out puffbags who couldnt hold executive positions in the league(well did, but completely crippled both of their affiliated franchises during heir tenures, for years to come after their delayed dismissals), beating on their chests and flinging their verbal feces at one another. Poor Darren Millard cant help but flounder until his manager cuts to commercials. Its offensive, I usually either mute them, FFWD them, or just change the channel. And thats saying something. @sportsnet, this must be remedied. Even pulling Ron McLean back for tightpants reschair there hasnt worked out as well as I had optimistically hoped. In the name of dedication, and some disregard for nostalgia, I was prepared to accept the inevitable changing of the guard when you wanted to bring in Strombo, and Ill give it the year, but its tough. I know hes a fantastic journalist, and a very engaging interview host, and that he got his start in and his passion is, sports journalism, but COME ON!!!!! Throw a fan a bone here, and revamp your broadcast regime. Thanks for hearing out my rant here #rogerssportsnet Mic, dropped.
