Okay, I got a conundrum. I found another dog-carting page, and asked to join (couldnt see the page without joining). Ive been accepted, and now that I can see the page, I see that they have, pinned to the top, a list of Different brands of Carts,Sulky,K9 carts, Saccos,Carriages. Among them are the infamous Canine Carriage and the K-9 Carting rig...and in one of the posts, someone asked about the K-9. Ive read so much bad over time about these two in particular, and theres another one called Nikkis Pony Express which looks pretty bad to me too (photo below). Sacco, Chalo, Arctic and Arctis are also there, thankfully. So heres my conundrum. I obviously am not going to start bad-mouthing rigs, especially as a newcomer (tho I did respond to the question about the K-9, merely with regard to that third wheel). My question to myself is whether I should even STAY on this group. If I stay, I will get to know people, and new people will come in looking to get into the sport; keeping my mouth shut will become harder as time goes on. I care about people getting into this sport, and the health and safety of them and their dogs, so...? I know people have told me that the market will out, but I know how I would have felt if I hadnt done my homework, had spent my money on something and it turned out to be bad, and Im not sure I shouldnt just back out and not know about this stuff. Whaddya think? NO offense meant to anyone who has any of these rigs and it works fine for them. Obviously I have no personal experience with any of them. Im just going on whats been discussed here, and the fact that Ive read so much over time that indicates the help, caring, expertise and knowledge of people here and how theyve been so supportive in advising others and trying to help them.
