Okay, I have a question. Ive got a completed baby blanket (whoo!!! You dont want to know how many attempts it took me.) but the cast on edge is basically live stitches on a piece of waste yarn. If I were hand knitting this, Id call it a provisional cast on, and Id put it onto needles to bind off. I am planning to do a crochet edging all around the blanket, do I need to do anything to the cast-on edge before I crochet over it, or can I just crochet over the provisional cast on?
