Okay, I have been not posting much of this, because I was truly unsure of the result. Gary proposed to me that we do a twin build of a scale model vehicle. I have never dabbled in scale model building before, and, honestly, was a little dubious. Grace has never been my middle name. However, this is something he truly enjoys, and something we have talked about getting into business-wise (more on that at a later date), and I figured that it would be a good idea to at least attempt to put one together so I would have some idea of a modelers needs and reality. So, we chose a 41 Chevy pickup truck and I got to lose my scale-model virginity to it. I must say, this build was not easy. I had to strip and repaint it several times. I had to learn how to use an airbrush, and learned the hard way that rattle cans suck. A couple times. So, I also learned how to decant paint. It has been an interesting journey, and while my final piece is nowhere near as extravagant as the professional builders over at Model Cars, I am pleased with result. I am even more pleased with the time well spent with the man I love. :) This probably would not have been as much fun if we had not sat across from each other and did this together. ...So here she is. My 1:25 scale 1941 Chevy. You should hear her run ;)
