Okay, I have had enough. I usually ignore most posts that I find offensive. I received TWO in the past three minutes of one of the most disgusting posts out there right now. If you receive a post that says Most people wont watch this or You wont believe this or anything else that tries to cause you to click on a post due to curiousity - DONT DO IT!! It is spam. It is a hoax. It is freakin annoying because it gets forwarded to the rest of us and WE DONT WANT TO SEE IT!!! (yes, that is my outside voice!) Today I have started reporting them to Facebook as spam and reporting YOUR account as having been hacked. Im not sure what they do with that but if you suddenly cant access your Facebook account it might be because you fell for the scam and clicked on the post. From urbanlegends: Analysis: Welcome to another social media clickjacking scam. Users who click on links in SHOCKING VIDEO posts like these are typically redirected to a page where theyre asked to share the video with everyone they know before viewing it — which alone ought to give one pause. Those who continue this far are then typically asked to take an online survey, which is how the perpetrators generate revenue. Completing the survey does not guarantee one will see the promised video, however, because typically there is no video. Its a classic bait and switch. Worst case scenario, careless users may expose themselves to a malware attack (one should be especially wary of links offering downloadable software of any kind) and end up with their account and/or network security compromised. Think before you click.
