Okay, I have read a few articles about Voter ID requirements and - TopicsExpress

Okay, I have read a few articles about Voter ID requirements and certain civil rights groups and public figures in vehement opposition. Each argument has been the same though. Requiring State/Govt issued ID at voting polls is unfair because it is more likely to affect/curtail the Blacks ability to vote. Is it me of does that sound dumb as hell? So basically what they are saying is: Black people and poor people are more likely not to have a valid ID. So we need to not require ID at the voting booth and encourage these people to continue to walk around with no ID. HUH? If you are of voting age, why in the HELL are you walking around with no damn ID? It doesnt have to be a drivers License. You can go to the same place and get an ID card. So instead of encouraging people to GET AN ID, Instead we cry foul in order to enable continual irresponsibility? There is no reason a person over 18 should be walking around with NO type of ID. I dunno maybe its me.
