Okay, I just turned in an application for a scholorship. I had to attach a paper explaining why I think I should qualify for the help. This is what I wrote. It had to be 250 words MAX. 12114266 To the Scholarship Committee, I feel that I need and should receive a scholarship to help me financially because of my current situation. I am living by myself, paying all of my own expenses, and since I only work part-time I barely make enough to make ends meet. Having a scholarship to help me with this education would be beneficial to me in more ways than one. I would be able to focus less on the stress of money and more on my studies. College is very important to me. I do struggle academically at times, but I refuse to give up. I want the brightest future for myself possible and I know that it is only attainable through a college degree. I am working on my Liberal Arts and Sciences degree right now with hopes to transfer to a 4 year institution to pursue something in Human Services. I love helping people and have had my own experiences working with social workers and addiction counselors. I believe it is my turn to give back all that I have learned since I am healthy now. I can’t wait to see what my future holds, and I am so excited to see how many lives I can touch with my own talents, skills, and caring, compassionate personality.
