Okay. I was given the number 9 to list 9 things that fb friends may not know about me. I tried to think of some interesting things that I dont mund revealing. 1. I once climbed to the very top , the crown, of the Statue of Liberty. Theresa Newman may know this: band trip many years ago ( and favorite joke Mother Theresa). 2. I hiked up a mountain in the state of Washington when I was a camp counselor there with Leslie Platt. 3. I worked as a nanny in New Jersey when I was in college. My regret with that is that I only stayed for a few weeks, short of when the family was moving to The Dakota in NYC. I could have met John Lennon. That would have been a better number 3. 4. I once took a motorcycle trip to Mackinac. Something I would never do now and would hate if my girls did. But sometimes you do crazy things when single in your 20s or I did anyway. 5. I am a crazy rocker chick when alone (or wih my girls) in the car. Turn the radio up, head bopping, sing to the top of my lungs. In my mind Im 25 forever. Okay, thats one of my biggest secrets. 6. I am the fashion diva mom. I am the one who tells my daughters 13 and 17 the latest fashion trends. I told them this fall the look is skinny jeans and tall riding boots. If I were skinny enough I would wear them but since I dont think I can then I told them they had to. My fashion diva in the making, Kara 13, took to it immediately but it has taken some watching of her younger sister for Ashley 17, to be talked into it. 7. I love to dance. This may not be such a secret to fb friends who were at the reunion. I did take tap and ballet when I was young, all of my sisters and I did. What is so strange is that my sister Lynn Schupmann found a print that looks like each of us girls when we were young, at the ballet barre. We each have a copy of that print now. We dont know the artist. It was so uncanny. 8.Two of my favorite places I have ever been to are Gatlinburg ( and Smokey Mountains) in Tennessee. I think I must have a secret southerner in me. Never even knew what country music was growing up but now like country music. Pat and I have visited that area many times. My second place is Carmel, CA. Ive only been there twice but it is just gorgeous. I hope to go there again. 9. If I could do anything right now as a second career it would be to write. Not necessarily a novel but maybe a blog or contribute to a magazine. I fell in love with writing when taking a Creative Writing class from George Anderson in high school. Remember him Kathleen Czuba? I also was influenced to love writing from my journalism major Mom.
