Okay..... IMA throw this out there. Fall is the best time of year for group rides. The pace tends to lessen and become more leisurely. Everyone has been riding hard all year and needs time to unwind. Fall is especially good for group rides that might be a bit out of your comfort zone. Today was a prime example, 47 miles at 16.5 average. Great fall ride. That said..... There seems to be a stigma surrounding Saturday morning group rides. I dont know the reason, but I need to. I dont know if people are suggesting that folks dont go on Saturday or some folks are just a skeered. I know there are folks that cant handle even a 16-18 pace, but there are plenty that I know can and for whatever reason shun the group ride. Im not talking family obligations we all have those. Football, soccer, cricket, squash, rugby, bocci..... If there is a reason, make me aware of it.
