Okay, Im going to be painfully honest (cause thats what we do around here). These photos are not remotely representative of the evening that weve had so far. In fact, theyre sort of the exact opposite of the evening that weve had so far, which has looked a lot more like a not-even-a-little-funny blooper reel than a highlight reel. Nonetheless, we did manage to get these pictures, and the moment that they captured was no less real than the ones that surrounded it. And, well, this is the one on which I choose to focus. So there. {Images are three photos of Brooke trying on the bumble bee costume that shes been planning for Halloween for months and that we got over the weekend. In the first photo, she has her back to us, showing off her wide, glittery wings for the camera. In the second, she is laughing while pretending to buzz. Her outfit consists of a black tank top, a yellow and black striped tutu with a plastic daisy for good measure, yellow and black striped leggings, glittery wings, a black and yellow choker with the same daisy, and, of course, her favorite part -- the tule headband with two daisies hovering above her head. In the last picture, shes just walking down the hall dressed as a bumble bee for Halloween. In August. As you do.}
