Okay, Im going to make a big call here and congratulate the NSW Police on how they are handling the situation in Martin Place, and an especially big ups to Deputy Commissioner Byrne who kept her cool during an evening interview politely but firmly refusing to fuel media, both social and whatever the rest gets called these days, speculation on anything and refusing to divulge info that in this situation I think quite rightly if divulged would hand control over to the hostage taker. Frankly people, you should have seen enough bloody movies about hostage situations to know to back of and stop interfering in what are always extremely fraught negotiations with peoples lives at stake. Kudos to those media that have been given information from whatever source on what the supposed demands are and have also kept a lid on it. And a huge slapdown to the inevitable scandal and fear and anger mongering of the Murdoch muckrakers.
