Okay, Im not trying to sound sappy, but I have to thank my sweetie, Dave Richardson for being one of the good guys... when we discussed whose house we were going to live in, it was more feasible for me to move into his due to mine having no garage and a few other minor things. I was feeling kind of awkward knowing that it was he and his exs house, so to make it our space for the big move next year (me moving in after we get married), he told me I had carte blanche to decorating his house (every wall is white in his house - ugh - and not a picture on the wall - a no-no in my book - so of course when I heard I could do whatever I wanted, the hammer & nails came out and there are some pictures hung now - with several more to go!!) So we picked out a color for the bedroom (he leans toward the light grays and whites) and it ended up that he trusted my judgement (insert smart-ass comment here!) and I picked hunter green! With my solid oak bedroom set moving into the newly painted room, it will look awesome! (I took my nightstand out to the house to see what it will look like and it looks cozy!) So, he ordered new carpet (blue & hunter green dont mix!) and theyre there now installing it! (oatmeal color). I have to thank him for understanding how it felt a little awkward for me, but I also have to thank him for being just as excited as I was to change it from his space to our space with new paint & carpeting. (please keep in mind that he suggested it, I never asked for it! :) ). So, now after the holidays, were going to get those paint brushes and rollers busy with the other rooms in the house. I laugh though, after walking through room after room of white walls and then entering a bedroom that is hunter green, its like a shock to the eyeballs! Im just hoping he doesnt go into shock when the rest of white walls are transformed into colored ones! Thank you sweetie, for being such a great guy!!
