Okay. Im ready to pipe in on these charges against Rick Perry. While I believe they are slimy trying to de-fund a unit because the public official heading that unit is a convicted DUI offender is a Democrat, I also believe these shouldnt be criminal charges with jail time attached. As a liberal Democrat, Im saying this is wrong. I cant stand Perry, but this offense really is political, not criminal in my mind. Chris Christie will end up taking a similar beating in his state for abusing his power with Hurricane Sandy funds dispersal issues AND of course that retarded stunt with the George Washington Bridge. The woman who got the DUI did her jail time and went back to work and Perry linked de-funding her unit with a Line-Item-Veto that he threatened BECAUSE the lady wouldnt step down. This IS Abuse of Power, but I believe it should be dealt with legistatively not through the courts. I am not a lawyer, but I believe Perry will survive this, but still has no chance of getting his partys nomination. Chris Christie is sitting on pins and needles awaiting charges in his scandals. May be a different outcome for him.
