Okay. Ive been known to have the occasional odd experience...and by odd, I mean defies rational explanation. Just had another one...standing out in my backyard waiting for the dogs to have their last potty break before bedtime, looking northeast. Something catches my eye and I look up, thinking it might be a shooting star. It is not. It is not moving through the sky, but it is not still. It looks to be cone- or triangular-shaped and there are colored lights flashing around the bottom of it. The upper part just appears to be flashing bright then dim. I watched it for a few minutes, trying to determine if it was a case of double vision, but it was not. It was not moving like an aircraft of any kind, and did not look like the death throes of some light-years-distant star. Mystified, I am!
