Okay, Ive been trying to get this posted for two hours and keep running into problems (imagine that!). How many of you have wondered why so many things keep happening around us that seem to escape any logical explanation? Many on the left ask why we went to war in Iraq when clearly Iraq was not a participant in the 9/11 attacks. Many on the right wonder how in Gods name did this nation elect Barack Hussein Obama president, a man with questionable citizenship, clearly at odds with traditional American values and a clear disdain for Americas place in the world as a leader and proper example for other nations, not to mention the fact that he carries an Islamic name and has Islamic sympathies, all so soon after we were attacked by Islamic radicals. Others may wonder about the Sandy Hook episode; i.e. how a father who supposedly just lost one of his little girls to a horrible shooting can be seen laughing and joking with reporters and handlers the day after the attack just before he seems to purposely hyperventilate and get into character to appear devastated just before a press conference. One may also ask how it is that despite the ridiculous number of scandals playing this administration, no one is ever held accountable. Clearly my perceptions are tainted somewhat by the fact that my political views lying reasonably far to the right of center. However people from both sides of our current political ideologies can attest to and agreed that many things have occurred in this nation, especially concerning governmental policy, elections, etc., that just dont seem on the up and up or aboveboard. I believe this video which documents a speech given by John Fitzgerald Kennedy, whom I believe, despite his critics, really care for this nation and attempted to govern with the values he believed we should aspire to, not the values he or many of us may have lived by as flawed human beings. If you have not listened to this speech, which he only gave once, then you have not heard possibly one of the most revealing glimpses ever given to the American people on how this world is run. Now mind you, once you have heard this please understand that I am not advocating some massive revolt against our government or any other entity. I am not suggesting that we abandon participation in elections; nor do I suggest there should be demonstrations in the streets or anything other than benefiting from the wisdom that comes from knowledge. Only in this way can we move forward as citizens of this nation with eyes wide open to the truth that we are not children anymore and that we are, none of us, especially not those who are in power, innocents.
