Okay, Ive had enough! No, Im not talking about anything said in the debate, nor the candidates in the debate, nor anything really about the debate. I havent watched it, nor am I going to (so dont bother commenting on the content therein... I dont care). The reason I posted this has everything to do with the title; Fangate? Really?! I am beyond sick of this. Watergate was a hotel in which Republican supporters broke into Democratic campaign offices there in the attempt to get Nixon reelected. They got caught, creating a huge scandal, and Nixon eventually resigned as a result. NOW, every single scandal from the equally momentous to the ridiculously trivial has the -gate suffix attached to it! STOP IT!!! Would someone in the journalism industry please gain some measure of authority to put an END to this -gate nonsense?! Please?!
