Okay Ive seen enough posts about the poor dogs being euthanized on the Rez. You all know nothing about some of these homeless dogs. Plenty of these dogs were brought in and left by outsiders passing through, hunters not wanting to pay for shipping costs once theyre done hunting and yes some irresponsible people. If the dogs arent spayed and neutered they Breed, and Breed and Breed. Plenty of these dogs are friendly and live with street people keeping them warm at night. Eating scraps from friendly passers by. Everyone tries to care for our four legged relatives but it ends up the dogs can out number people at times. Some of the dogs owners have died or gone to the nursing homes and no one could find them to take them in. Quit blaming Natives for making these dogs wild. Its their own survival! What are you told when a dog comes running at you? Run? Heck no! A dogs chase instinct kicks in. Theyre hunters. So the baby sledding sadly became their Prey because they were in hunting mode to survive. So many of you saying its cruel to Thin out the population then why dont you come get them and pay for their relocation and health bills? How many of you have ever visited the Rez? Not just passed through on 212 I meant stayed! Sit down. If I could save them all I would. Sadly I can not but I sure as hell dont condemn those who do try. #RantOver
