Okay Nan...this short video is for you. CBS is interviewing outside with a green screen behind them. The only problem is, there is a glitch in the pre-recorded film they are using. If you were standing there during the interview, you would not see the images behind the reporters - only green fabric. The images are imposed via software off camera. First I am going to start with a clip from the show House of Cards. CNN, either for money or publicity, allowed the show to use the news networks identity. This is just play acting on CNNs part; there is no difference between the House of Cards fictional performances or when the regular news is on. Both are meant to look believable. But the point is, watch the green screen on House of Cards and how the image appears off camera for the viewers at home. Then notice how the outline of the clothes on the actors dont mesh dimensionally with the background image, although it does look pretty good. You can use this as a guide for other videos in question. When someone is in a live environment, it is obvious because it actually looks 3D; foreground and background imagery have the same depth.
