If you are planning to attend one of their shows, just go ahead and remove yourself from my friends list and life asap. Here is why: Please dont support the Barnum and Bailey circus. They are housing their animals under the parking garage at the coliseum and today I witnessed abuse first hand. The dog handler angrily threw a small terrier from a trailer onto its back because it was excited and squirmy. When I yelled at him he started loading the other dogs out quickly and took off. The elephants are chained to the concrete posts on very short leads and covered in bird shit. They unload a shocking number of horses and camels from tiny, filthy trailers and I saw them leading an almost lame horse around today. Its truly horrendous. Think about what attending the circus really means.... Attend human circuses! We are a city chock full of talented folks- dont support animal abuse and exploitation.
