Okay. Sufficiently shaken. Tonight, by happenstance, I met one of the medical personnel who was at the emergency care center in Staunton when I arrived with my heart episode. Weeks later, she remembered me and she relayed to me how shaken she and the other attendants were; she told me I was really in pretty bad shape (they downplay that sort of thing when youre in the throes of it all).....the meds they used on me that morning are rarely, if ever, used at the clinic level, and at one point my heart was so erratic I had no pulse or blood pressure. She was tumbling over her words at this point, expressing how thankful she was to see me alive and kicking.....and I tried to clarify that statement with her, but then i decided I really didnt want to know any more. Ive been a little blase about my experience, but I think Im going to take a few moments tonight to really BE thankful.
