Okay! We have a LOT of Calendar questions from several of our friends here! I would love to hear what you all have to say. 1. Is calendar time effective teaching for PreK? I was just at a workshop that said it was a waste of time to do calendar with fours. Im almost ready to use the time more effectively with math skills rather than calendar time. But with our LA observation tool calendar time would score me a ineffective because it is all rote. Only one kid is hands on. I always make sure not to do calendar for observations because I want to continue scoring highly effective (Highest level) 2. I was reading your schedules for full and half day kindergarten. I would love to know what your calendar activities are? I get so bored with calendar and I would like to make it more fun for me and the students. 3. Yes!
