Okay back from the doctor and I have the cast off the right - TopicsExpress

Okay back from the doctor and I have the cast off the right arm/wrist. Dr. Bosley said it is improving and the bone is in a good position. I asked if he still wanted me to us the bone healing machine and he said no but I still might. No splint but do have one for the scaphoid facture that the right wrist got on impact on the asphalt and ground or even possible the handlebars being ripped from my grip if I need it. The left arm/wrist will go back to surgery most likely on Nov.10. The x-rays show that it is in worse shape than previous x-ray. When I took the splint off it is all bent. When I lay my arm flat the hand is cocked to the left at an angle and bent up at the wrist area and the hand is tilted to the left. I was on the verge of crying and there were a few tears. It looked all mangled. He said he had a lot of work to do to get it back straightened out and then the issue of getting it to heal properly and possibly bone graft from pelvic and he said that can be very painful. Also said there is going to be an issue with scar tissue cause this will be the 3rd operation on it. Im thinking I must be flailing my arms in my sleep cause he and the doctor in Tennessee have asked me if I hit it and as far as I know I havent so I might be doing some damage to it in my sleep and not remembering it. I do remember doing it one time in the hospital. As far as Dr. Skalak operating on the leg while Dr. Bosley does the arm do not know yet still waiting for Orthepaedics East to give me a call back for scheduling. When I get more info Ill post. Thanks for reading and being there for me.
