Okay everyone else is posting pics of their fur babies! Here is Hazel, she is my 13 year olds dressage ride ;). She switched from jumpers last year to dressage. Their first season out the qualified for PC nationals as the youngest rider and won against 160 riders aged 12-25 in Lexington. They also wond the USDF/Great American Regional with a 74%. Received the USDF rider performance award, WWDA Highpoint year end junior rider award, and USPC/USDF rider performance award. What makes this so special is this horse was one found in a herd abandonment case 6 years ago. Someone moved years prior and left the horses in a pasture to fend for themselves there was over 20 horses from foals to stallions, dirt left for ground, no bark left on the trees. None had ever been touched. Hazel and McKaylas story reached The Chronical of The Horse magazine where they were featured in the September issue. It took over a year to be able to put a saddle on this mare.
