Okay everyone..put it out there for us...we have found a teeeny tiny little cottage that we have fallen in love with and seems to suit our current needs in every way...not flash at all but liveable and loveable. Gorgeous gardens to provide a fairy wonderland for Sophie, with a chook run already built, a lychee tree, a paw paw tree, banana plants, and a kitchen that overlooks living areas. A large shed in the backyard with a liveable room with power already attached, that can be transformed into a residence for Frank so that Sophies continuity of parenting is not disturbed. Close enough to Sophies school (15 minutes drive). Room for our car and van, room for a veggie patch and trampoline. And within our budget. To sweeten the deal, it has a frangipani tree in the front yard. Which may seem like nothing to many, but for as long as I can remember i have always thought that my real home would have a frangipani tree in the yard. Fifteen minutes further out than what we had planned, but hey, whats fifteen minutes in the grand scheme of things? One minor (major?) issue that we are aware of...the dining area and laundry is an unapproved extension. Which could be a deal breaker if we arent able to get retrospective approval for it. Anyone out there who believes in manifesting...Id love it if you could please put your thoughts and wishes out to the universe for us for this place to pass building and pest, and get any necessary approvals and repairs done without it costing us more than $5,000. And because you have to be careful what you ask for, lets also make sure we ask for it not to have any other unknown issues/problems that could cause a problem or cost us extra money....and that we sell our current home within the next couple of months so we dont end up with a mortgage disaster.
