Okay family and friends I will be needing your prayers really bad. I met with Dr. yesterday and I have decided to go ahead and do the surgery on my back. He will incise the lumbar spine area and remove enough bone to decompress the nerve(s), open the foramen over the nerve roots, remove any herniated disks and spurs/osteophytes and synovial cysts. This is all at the L3 L4 and L5. In other words he is removing the bone around my spinal cord to give it room. He said the bone will grow back slowly. And I still have my boot on my foot and had to cancel that appt. because it was the day of the surgery and she was glad because she said I would stay off of it since I was having back surgery. I will be in the hospital for at least 2 days unless I have to stay longer. Knowing me it will be longer. I sure do hope not. My knee looks good from my surgery but still swells up and gets really tight at times with fluid. I THINK THESE DR. KNOW ME TO GOOD. THEY KNOW I CANT SIT STILL in one spot long enough.I have got to be doing something with my hands or I will go crazier.
