Okay feeling the need to vent!! Id like to know who out there loves or even likes the Deerfield Valley Farmers Day Fair??? Do you attend it?? To those of you who enjoy it, do you think it gets up and running on its own??? Sorry Im tired, a long full day of day camp at Brookside, then some after hours work with training horses. Im already wicked tired but off to the fair grounds for a work B at 6:00. NO dinner, dead tired and guess what? Other then a small handful of us trustees, we had 2 yes 2 people show up to help. We got VERY LITTLE done as what we really needed was a bit of man power to move bleacher and picnic tables and such. Im dead tired, rather be home eating dinner but NO Im there trying to get stuff done so this fair can happen and NO one comes to help. Sorry if I sound mad but I am. I have posted our work Bs, I see people who say they want to help but when push comes to shove WHERE ARE YOU??? This fair is not going to last to make its 100th year like those of us involved really want to see. WE are all burning out badly and honestly this could be it. Right now, it is my last year, Im done busting my butt trying to do the work of 20 people. When all it would take is a dozen or so people to come help and take the stress out of it. We cant even put out bleachers and tables with out man power. Im tired, cranky and I hate venting on here but I think its time people now WE NEED HELP!!!! That being said, please feel free to share this and know we are having work Bs Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night form 6:30 til as long as we can keep going. I also want to add to this is from me personally, not from the fair committee.
