Okay folks, October is right around the corner, bringing with it the annoying wave of pink and people trying to guess if someone has had their bung bleached for breast cancer. As a breast cancer survivor I have a request: Instead of buying a bunch of crap with pink ribbons on it, commit to taking a walk every day in October. To the sidewalk, to the end of the block, to the next town over, doesnt matter. Physical activity like walking is proven to lessen the likelihood of getting all sorts of nasty diseases, including cancer. Its easy, free, and actually will fight cancer.
