Okay foodie friends, a couple of questions! I know I have a ton of you on here so.. here goes.. 1. You know how they say you can make caramel sauce just by tossing the can of condensed milk into the slow cooker with water for like 8 or so hours? I thought I saw one where you could put the milk into a glass jar, but now I cant find it. Anyone know the inner workings here? and 2. I saw a post for vegetable soup *via Cassandra* where it gives suggestions of things to add and approx. amounts and such, but the directions again are for a slow cooker. This time Im wondering if you just simmer in a heavy pot until the beans/veggies/etc are tender or if there is another way you need to approach it to go from slow cooker to stove top. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated and helpful :D
