Okay friendship… I had to take some mins to utter a few thank you words to my Jesus. Was actually listening to “Never failed me yet” when I saw the invitation by my sister friend Maretha Oatweng to play the #why_I_love_Jesus_challenge. I’m sure it wasn’t a coincidence. There’s no such word in the Bible. I don’t even know where to start, but I’ll start wherever. This Jesus, died for me on the cross, and to imagine the wounds he was afflicted with, the curses, the pain when the first hammer beat in that needle into His hands! Taking the crown of thorns just so I could take the crown of glory! What injustice will it be to deny what is due to Him! What a fool would I be not to love Him! Allow me to brag a little. This Jesus, I was a destitute and He supplied with all I NEEDED. Peace, joy, love, laughter. He is the reason I laugh at anything and everything. Because in it all, I see the goodness of Him. I was empty and He filled me my Jesus, was poor and He enriched me. Trust me I am soooooo rich! And it is all because of this Jesus. I was a captive to Satan and sin, in a bondage worse than the Israelites in Egypt, struck by the leprosy of sin, defiled and spiritually polluted, I was dirty, struck by all kinds of soul ailments, but this Jesus, stretched His arms on the cross and said “It is done” and with that, took away all the filth, all the dirty rags I had clothed myself with and clothed me with righteousness. Put in a new spirit in me, a new heart He created in me. This Jesus! My savior, my keeper, my redeemer. I am forever indebted! Isn’t it just awesome that He came to seek and save that which has been lost? Because otherwise where would I be? I LOVE HIM SO MUCH THIS JESUS! When I fall, He He holds me by His right hand and says... come my dear child! If He was to demand payment for all He has done and still doing and yet to do for me, ayaya…! I am damned!
