Okay, healthy eater Facebook friends - how on earth do you manage your menu planning??? I fail epically in this department, I feel like short of making this a full time job, theres no way to win. There has to be a more efficient way, right? Im not the only one working mother . . . Problem #1 Fresh produce doesnt last the whole week and we dont have time to go buy fruits and veggies every other day Problem #2 No time to prep meals, we come and go constantly at different times and usually in a rush. Problem #3 Schedule isnt always set in stone, unexpected changes often derail planned meals and end with a fast food dinner on the run. Problem #4 Nothing lasts around here. The boys frequently consume a weeks worth of breakfast, snacks and random ingredients in about 2 days, leaving an empty kitchen way before I expected to go shopping again. UGH, anybody else struggle with this???? Our eating habits are so jacked and I cant even figure out how to get ahead of it, especially because Id like us to eat less processed crap, but processed crap is cheap to buy, fast to make, and doesnt immediately go bad. If you feel like youre good at this, PLEASE share - What do you eat/feed your family for breakfast? What do you keep around for fast grab snacks or impromptu meals? If you eat large amounts of fresh fruit and veggies, in what form and for what meals? What do you take for lunch? What are your staple dinners? How much time do you spend shopping? Cooking? Do you have go-to resources for recipes, ideas, etc? Thats a million questions, but this is someplace Id really like to improve and cant seem to figure out . . .
