Okay, here are my 11 bits of useless information. Leslie Krahn forced me. 1 - I cant swim and nearly drowned taking lessons. I sink in water for some reason. 2 - My Grandad Laughlin road an orphan train from Pennsylvania to Kansas when he was a young boy. 3 - Both my dad and brother have U.S. patents. (Dad - basketball foul light, brother - weather warning system) 4 - I dont have a patent, but Im much better looking than both of those guys. 5 - I love wearing overalls, although my wife hates them. 6 - My CB call signal in the 70s was KRH - 8868, unit 2. 7 - I ran in the same state track meet as Leslie Krahn did back in 1975. Made the finals in the 180 yard hurdles . . . . took last. No medal. Just a stupid paper certificate. I was far enough behind the winners that my hometown paper took a picture of me hurdling, and it looked like I was winning. 8 - Made the money to buy my wifes engagement ring by taking the combine back out into a couple wheat fields after harvest and cutting some wheat we had left due to muddy patches. ($250 was a lot of money to me back then. :)) 9 - I have only read one fiction book in my life (that I can remember), Henry Reeds Babysitting Service - back in the 4th grade. 10 - I am allergic to cheddar cheese, citrus fruits, nuts, bananas, MSG, . . . . migraine triggers for me. Ugh. 11 - I have been blessed far beyond measure and far beyond what I deserve in this life. My wife, parents, children, grandchildren, son-in-law, friends, students, players, ..... I am grateful. Thank you, Lord.
