Okay, here is my story...I created this group because on Monday this past week my husband of almost 14 years told me he wanted a divorce just out of the blue. I had no clue that this was coming. I have also been a stay at home mom/housewife for most of those years, besides some daycare and housekeeping jobs. So very little income. I have an 11 year old son who I also had to tell this to. So here I am at 41, very little income, starting over. But after the shock wore off about 3 days later, I realized that I had to figure out what to do. I have never utilized any of the government funding that is out there, but right now it is the only way I can survive. So, I applied for low income housing, went online to see what all is out there to help me until I get on my feet. Low and behold there are a ton of resources. 2 days later, I got the call on the apartment I wanted, and I get to take my mini dachshund Daisy with us. Which is a godsend because she is just like a child. My heart is still breaking but I am trying to be strong. I have a great family that supports me. Alot of great friends that will stand by me and help when needed. I know I cannot get through this alone...That is why I created this support group. I have a few other friends going thru this right now and we all need to be able to vent, share ideas, share childcare...whatever it might be. So please...Tell me your story and what belonging to this group will mean to you.
