Okay, here is the update on Archie...we saw a wonderful doc today and he explained everything and drew pictures to help explain........ Archie has stage 2 cancer, a tumor about the size of an egg, and the doc says it is about 18 inches up..he says it has not spread to liver, spleen, prostate or other organs...he says he will take about 4-6 inches out on each side of the tumor, to make sure he gets it all. he will do laproscopic surgery so he will heal faster..he says he will be in the hosp 3-5 days and says it will take about 6 months for recovery..He says it looks good and that we caught it early. He says he will not need a colostomy bag, nor chemo..that he is going to cut it out and it will be gone..they will test the lymph nodes around it and going out from it to see if it went to his lymph nodes..hopefully, prayerfully not..if there was, then that will prob mean chemo, but he was sure it would only be a 5 percent chance that there would be.. ..Archie is to stay on a liquid diet until tuesday when this doc will do another colonoscopy and then on Wednesday they will do surgery and cut the cancer out..He will be in Siloam Springs Memorial Hosptial for 3-5 days, then doc says it will take about 6 months of recovery time.. OH MY GOSH, thank you, thank you, thank you for the wonderful prayers....we had about 5 churches praying for him and all of our wonderful friends and family on fb.. We know it was the prayers that made a sad story turn out happy.. We love you all and please keep praying for him..
