Okay, heres my long post. First, Jackson is my total rockstar hero. He has worked so very, very, very hard this summer. I have watched him grow closer to being a man. I was looking at ride pictures from the spring, and he is neither the same rider, nor the same little guy. He found his way through many, many dark spots both in training and in riding. I really admire him, because it was a long haul. Thank you to my family. James Hale, you dont get enough credit for doing all you do for us. This awesome man took care of so many things while we were riding the miles. The house is completely trashed, and he is okay with it. He followed us every single mile in the van, stopping at every single rest stop, and even stopping between times, just to cheer us on. Rachael Williams-Hale and Nick Ballantyne, you meant so much to us by coming to cheer us on and keeping him going. Ethan spent the day in the van. He was so proud of his big brother and had so much fun. Besides, he got to wear his new jammies all day long! Thank you to Bill and Christine Cole. You mentored me to help Jackson and you encouraged and believed in him. I cant begin to say how much that helped both of us and how much you both mean to us...We love you both tons. You treated him like a cyclist and a peer rather than some little kid who couldnt do it. We have always tried to treat our kids that way, too, and it means the world to both of us...Thank you. Judy Zeigler, thank you, thank you, thank you. You have believed in Jackson and supported him like hes your own son! I know you are every bit as proud of him as we are. I know you worried about him out on those roads, especially after your fall. Thank you for believing in him and supporting him!!!
