Okay, heres one more. I just started this one after lunch today. This painting started out with a toned background using my WB SUMMER FOREST Background Color (Acrylic Gesso). Over that, the rest was Oils. Its harder to discern in the photo, but in person you can see how the gray-green of the background permeates through. It peeks through the sky translucently because I painted more thinly in certain areas. And the lighter green areas in the water are where I left the background exposed. This approach definitely gives you some unique variations you couldnt get otherwise. Dont be afraid to break out of the rut of thinking White canvas all the time.
