Okay, heres the scoop! I was hired through a staffing agency on a 1-year contract to work in Payroll for UPS. I was interviewed to be 1 of about a dozen folks who research discrepancies in wages. When I showed up this morning, they actually put me with the 1 other employee who handles discrepancies of benefits. The boss said they needed someone strong to fill that spot. So, Im doing lots of research into everything from the hours actually worked, to their benefits from UPS, to what their districts particular union contract says they are entitled to (and every union has a different contract). Whew, Im tired just talking about it. Its like being an investigator who gets to put giant puzzles together! The time definitely flies by. The folks seem very nice. And I cant describe how good it feels to be productive again! I also cant describe how much I appreciate the prayers of so many of you throughout this journey! God is faithful, and so are many of you!! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! Oh, and yes, theres a very good chance of getting hired on with UPS directly after the contract expires!
