Okay just got done with tonights truck remote from hell. Started with it taking about three times longer to hook up the power to the truck because the connectors were super tight, Incorrect gender and one was out of round. You shouldve seen us wrestling with the breakout box. Then the audio mixer didnt come up but that was a simple reboot. The production switcher wouldnt start at all. Even got spare parts from the station and still couldnt get it to run correctly. Ended up using a 12 input switcher to switch the show and downstream the graphics through the CG.. Then the audio embedder was bad on the program output. Then the satellite uplink, I could decode in the truck on two different receivers, but at the station they couldnt get it on four different receivers. Even though they could decode other things on the same satellite. Then my back up video stream hardware had bad audio. And I couldnt get a stable Internet connection. There were a few other things but this was enough for my list. Im just assuming we parked on an Indian burial ground and somehow insulted the spirits.
