Okay kids listen up - as international solidarity activists it is NOT our place to choose a single particular Palestinian faction and give uncritical support. We are supposed to be standing with all the Palestinian people and take our lead as activists and advocates from a consensus driven grassroots civil society-led set of principles. We should also be damn well consistent with our human rights and international law application. Lets also be clear - there is no democratically elected government in Palestine. They havent had elections for years except as municipal level and to suggest otherwise when they are under occupation is frankly insulting to the Palestinian people. I will NEVER support political violence aimed towards or indiscriminately launched at civilians - its immoral and against international law.
