Okay lets say Menelik and his Oromo generals never expanded and conquered other Oromo and sidama and afar and gurages and welaytas and so on. Oromia would have possibly been split among two or three of the European imperialists... France, Britain, Italians, Germans. Huge chunks of the Amhara region would be in Sudan via the Britain empire. The poor afar people are already split between three countries ...Ethiopia, Eritrea and Djibouti. Anymore splitting of their land would be sad. :( The gambella region would be with south Sudan since theyre related. Tigray probably wouldve joined Eritrea. They were one before. Hmmm....
